What are you going to do about it?
Of late how many of you can seriously say that no one in your circle of friends and family has been affected by cancer.
Have you given some thought to your getting it. Could that smoking habit or sedentary lifestyle or a family history of breast or colon cancer have put you at risk. Perhaps its time to visit your physician to see if any screening is recommended. Preventive screening options are now convenient e.g. a colonoscopy is an out patient procedure as is a mammogram and pap smear.
Of course, cancer prevention begins first with a diet rich in fruits, vegetables & whole grains. Maintaining a healthy weight, adequate physical exercise, quitting smoking, giving up tobacco/betel quid chewing, restricting the consumption of alcohol and managing stress can go a long way in ensuring a disease free life for a longer period of time.
